I would describe my style as a soft and naturalistic. While I incorporate gentle realism, I also want my piece to evoke emotional warmth. I like to work with watercolor because it feels a little loose and pushes me to be intuitive rather than too sharp and precise.
For my pet portraits, I generally put them on a white background or blur the background with a soft wash of colors.
I always want my paintings to feel warm, honest, and quietly joyful - celebrating everyday beauty in animals, plants, landscapes, and found objects.

I use high-quality 140 lb watercolor paper and professional watercolor paints. Depending on the nature of your work, I may also use some pencil or fine archival-quality pens to achieve the look!
